Mercedes-AMG Unveils Exclusive "Limited Edition" CLE Coupé and Cabriolet

Mercedes-AMG is taking the appeal of its CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupé and Cabriolet to a new level with the launch of an exclusive "Limited Edition." Featuring bespoke exterior and interior enhancements, distinctive AMG design elements, and performance-focused upgrades, this special model combines technical innovation with striking aesthetics.

Last year, Mercedes-AMG expanded its portfolio with the CLE 53 4MATIC+ (combined energy consumption 9.8–9.1 l/100 km, combined CO₂ emissions 223–206 g/km, CO₂ class: G)[1], a performance-driven model celebrated for its balance of dynamic agility and everyday usability. Available in both Coupé and Cabriolet forms, the CLE 53 is powered by a heavily re-engineered 3.0-litre inline-six engine featuring twin turbocharging. Delivering 330 kW (449 hp) and 560 Nm of torque—briefly rising to 600 Nm with Overboost—the drivetrain is paired with the AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G transmission and a fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system, ensuring dynamic handling across a wide range of conditions.

Building on this platform, AMG introduces the "Limited Edition," further refining the CLE’s performance character and aesthetic impact.

A standout feature of the new edition is its distinctive AMG film with colour accents—yellow for the Coupé and black/blue for the Cabriolet. Complementing these details, the Coupé is finished in a matte MANUFAKTUR graphite grey magno paintwork, while the Cabriolet is offered in a unique AMG-exclusive MANUFAKTUR spectral blue magno finish.

The Coupé rides on edition-specific 20-inch forged wheels in a cross-spoke design, accented by yellow rim flanges and revealing grey-painted brake callipers behind them. The Cabriolet features polished 20-inch light-alloy wheels, maintaining a balance between elegance and sportiness. Both variants include a silver chrome fuel-filler cap embossed with "AMG" lettering, adding a refined touch.

A range of dedicated equipment packages enhances the Limited Edition’s performance credentials:

AMG Night Package Exterior (Coupé only): High-gloss black detailing on the AMG front apron, mirror housings, side skirts, and window surrounds amplifies the aggressive stance, complemented by dark-tinted rear windows and black tailpipe trims.

AMG Night Package II (Coupé only): Dark chrome elements adorn the radiator grille and air intake struts, providing a distinctive front-end appearance.

AMG Styling Package (Coupé only): This package integrates a progressive front apron with aerodynamic side flics, a rear diffuser plate, and a subtle spoiler lip, enhancing both performance and visual drama.

AMG Exterior Carbon-Fibre Packages I & II (Cabriolet only): Carbon-fibre inserts on the front apron, side skirts, rear apron, mirror housings, and spoiler lip contribute to weight reduction and aesthetic precision.

AMG DYNAMIC PLUS Package (Coupé and Cabriolet): For heightened driving dynamics, the Limited Edition integrates active engine mounts and a MICROCUT carbon/microfibre AMG Performance steering wheel. Grey-painted AMG brake callipers reinforce the car’s bespoke character.

Inside, the Limited Edition models underscore AMG’s engineering prowess with a combination of luxury and motorsport-inspired detailing. The Coupé features AMG Performance seats upholstered in black Nappa leather with yellow contrast stitching, while the Cabriolet’s cabin is appointed in white AMG Nappa leather with black accents. Carbon-fibre trim elements and illuminated AMG door sills (yellow in the Coupé, white in the Cabriolet) heighten the technical ambience. Special AMG floor mats and a custom-fit AMG indoor car cover complete the package.

Pre-orders for the Limited Edition CLE Coupé and Cabriolet are now open, with market launch scheduled for July 2025. The models will be available for a limited time, ending May 2026.
