ALLPLAN Boosts Construction Digitalization with Acquisition of Manufacton

Manufacton's AI-powered and data-driven platform revolutionizes offsite construction and modular fabrication processes.
ALLPLAN has announced its acquisition of Manufacton, a prominent offsite construction software platform based in Alpharetta, Georgia, USA. Manufacton specializes in real-time monitoring of offsite production and optimizing prefabrication processes through artificial intelligence and data-driven insights. This strategic move will enable ALLPLAN to accelerate the digital transformation of the construction industry and tap into the growing markets for modular construction and design-for-manufacturing (DfMA).
“We’re excited to welcome the Manufacton team into the ALLPLAN family,” stated Eduardo Lazzarotto, Chief Product and Strategy Officer at ALLPLAN. “Manufacton is an ideal addition to our portfolio of construction solutions. This acquisition strengthens our ability to support the entire project lifecycle while giving us a competitive edge in the rapidly expanding modular construction and DfMA sectors.”
Raghi Iyengar, founder of Manufacton and CEO of ViZZ Technologies, also commented on the acquisition: “The Manufacton team is thrilled to be joining ALLPLAN as we continue driving the AEC industry’s shift toward offsite construction and prefabrication.”
The Growth of Modular Construction and DfMA in AEC
Modular construction and Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) are rapidly gaining traction in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry. With growing labor shortages, increasing housing demands, and a stronger focus on sustainability and decarbonization, offsite construction methods are becoming more widespread.
Manufacton plays a key role in this transformation by offering integrated project management software for offsite construction and modular fabrication. General contractors, specialty trade contractors, and modular builders rely on Manufacton’s platform to manage and track offsite production throughout the project lifecycle, blending the best manufacturing and construction project management practices.
This acquisition presents significant growth opportunities for ALLPLAN by enhancing customer access and market reach, particularly in the US. Thanks to the extended capabilities and synergies between the two companies, Manufacton is also positioned to expand into Europe and the Asia-Pacific regions.
