What you will do

Volvo Group Digital & IT has the ambition to enable value creation at scale for the Volvo Group. With a product centric operation model and digital technologies, we produce digital offerings that are profitable, scalable and differentiated.

In Digital Technologies IoT (Internet of Things), you will contribute to the transformation and digitalization of Volvo factories.

You will:

Be a member of a global agile team dedicated to IIoT solutions including Machine Learning/AI on IIoT data. This team is more dedicated on the IT side of IoT (dashboards / alerts / Machine Learning for prediction /…)

Lead implementation and be in close collaboration with manufacturing engineers requesting IIoT solutions for any manufacturing site in Volvo group

Develop & Support IIoT custom applications with very high-quality standard.

Explore new technologies (Proof Of Concept / Proof Of Value) to test and understand if a proposed technology has some potential to bring value in Volvo Group.

Digital Technologies is 130+ talents worldwide. We develop foundation products based on cutting edge technologies supporting and creating business apps efficiently. We are an incubator to industrialize new digital technologies throughout Volvo Group.

The IoT area in Digital Technologies is composed of 2 global teams (approximately 10 members per team) with the objective to facilitate adoption and industrialization of IoT technologies in Volvo Group.

Who are you?

Do you dream big? We do too, and we are excited to grow together. In this role, you will bring: 

Experience in full stack development (Front-End and Back-End) ... Ideally in React JS and .Net (Thingworx is a bonus)

IT development skills to manage all phases of a software development life cycle with high quality standards (business analysis, development, test, deployment, follow-up)

Motivation to digitalize Volvo manufacturing sites (industry 4.0 transformation)

Team player dynamism inside IoT adoption team and in Volvo IoT community

Mindset to stay ahead and be innovative thinker.

Competences on: 

Industrial IoT: PTC ThingWorks or Microsoft Azure IoT

Web technologies: JavaScript frameworks, .Net, React JS

Machine Learning programming in Python

Basic knowledge about data analytics,

Basic knowledge in the area of Automatics, Robotics and Electronics.
